Brand new start, brand new home

The UAAP has found a new home for its intense basketball action in The Arena, widely known as the Mall of Asia (MoA) Arena, after  its phenomenal run in the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This year’s UAAP host, National University, owned by tycoon Henry Sy, will give the newly-built arena its amateur basketball “baptism of fire” during the UAAP Opening Ceremony on July 14.

The much-awaited arena has  a full-house capacity of 20,000, 5,000 more than the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Arena boasts world-class facilities, a perfect place to hold concerts, events and UAAP games. The said venue will also be the new home of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).

The Arena also has a spacious parking lot, which is nearing completion. It also adopted a patterned basketball system, and it is similar to the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks Philips Arena.

UAAP Season 75 host, National University, has promised an opening to remember. The host has assured that the public would witness a never before seen opening. With state-of-the-art facilities and a very much anticipated season ahead, expect UAAP Season 75 to be more exciting, thrilling and electrifying as every participating university tries to win it all in the start of the UAAP’s transfer to the Mall of Asia Arena.
