Press Release: P&G Student Excellence Awards

Procter & Gamble Philippines, in partnership with De La Salle University, Ateneo De Manila University, and University of the Philippines once again recognized and awarded their best students through the P&G Student Excellence Awards (SEA).  More than 30 finalists, parents, administrators and P&G employees gathered at the Rizal Ballroom of the Makati Shangri-La hotel last February 22, 2013 for the awarding ceremony of SEA.

 

The P&G Student Excellence Awards is a search for students in their penultimate year who demonstrate Academic excellence, Leadership, and Embodiment of their school’s principles and values.

 

This year, a total of 614 students joined across the 3 partner universities, from which 10 finalists were chosen per university and invited to the awarding ceremony.  Out of the 30 Finalists, 3 awardees were chosen from each school.

 

The SEA 2013 awardees from DLSU are: Raissa Ventura (Mechanical Engineering), Jin Nathaniel Ong (Applied Economics) and Angelo Lam (Chemical Engineering).

 

 

Each finalist received a Php 5,000 cash prize and a trophy, while the awardees receive an additional Php 50,000 and another trophy.  All of the finalists and awardees will also be inducted into the 2013 SEA Circle, which is a 12-month program granting students access to P&G leadership and development programs, networking opportunities with P&G business leaders, and P&G’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs.
