Sardouk bags Slam Dunk title

Team D prospect Ameen Sardouk captured the Sprite Slam Dunk title after showcasing an emphatic between-the-legs dunk during the annual NBA 3X Philippines event last August 19 at the Mall of Asia Music Hall in Pasay City.

With current Brooklyn Nets center Brook Lopez, Lady Cats dancers Cara and Shardia, Stuff and Blush Filipina member Angeli as the judges, Sardouk convincingly pulled off a set of spectacular dunks to win the title with a score of 49 out of 50.

“It feels great to be titled as champion, and to be nominated by an NBA player [Brook Lopez]. Now, I’m more motivated to give a better show next time I get the chance to perform in a slam dunk competition,” shared Sardouk.

NBA 3X Philippines is an annual event in the country that showcases a variety of contests like the Sprite Slam Dunk contest, 3-on-3 basketball and many more.

Sardouk is currently one of the big men of DLSU’s Team D. The big man from Nevada is one of the Green Archers’ future prospects with the likes of teammates Axel Torres, Jason Perkins and Rob Ricafort.

Sardouk is now looking to improve his skills set, which includes his dunking ability.

“I would definitely develop them more to help me become a better basketball player,” the big man concluded.
