DLSU to rename LSIG to Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance

The University will launch the De La Salle University Jesse M. Robredo Institute of Governance tomorrow, October 4 from 2:30 pm to 6 pm at the Marilen Gaerlan Conservatory.

The naming of the La Salle Institute for Governance (LSIG) after the late secretary came after DLSU President and Chancellor Br. Ricky Laguda FSC approved a proposal to change the name of the research and training institution.

Office for Strategic Communications Director of Operations Johannes Badillo explains that Robredo is the epitome of good governance. He sees Robredo as a logical fit.

The event will be attended by the late secretary’s wife Atty. Maria Leonor G. Robredo, De La Salle Alumni Association President Johhny C. Sy and 2009 Ramon Magsaysay Awardee Atty. Antonio A. Oposa, Jr.
