DLSU Library Features Bestselling Author in Booksigning

The University Library, in partnership with Fully Booked, held a question-and-answer and book signing event last January 20, which featured the New York Times Bestselling author Michelle Hodkin.

Shortly after the introduction, Hodkin talked about the different struggles she faced while writing her trilogy, and how she overcame them. She read a few passages from her first drafts and encouraged the crowd of aspiring authors to keep writing despite getting rejected.

After her speech, she entertained various questions from the attendees about her life and works. This was followed by a book signing.

Joseph Yap, the current coordinator for instructional media services, was one of the people who were in-charge of the event. Yap said that Fully Booked initiated the event and invited De La Salle University (DLSU) to host. He felt that the process and event was very organized and it had met its purpose, which was to acquaint more readers and enhance information literacy skills in students.

Yap said there might be another event similar to this, but one that would be initiated by the University.
