PRESS RELEASE: USG OPRES Holds Call for Advocates Week for Mental Health, LGBT+ Organizations

In line with their Safe Spaces initiative, the USG is holding a Call for Advocates this week for students who are interested to apply in the Office of the President’s (OPRES) planned organizations, the Mental Health Task Force and the LGBT+ Advocacy Organization.

The aim of the Mental Health Task Force is to have a group of well-trained students who would be able to give awareness in #BreakingTheStigma on mental health and responding to the mental health crises of other students in the university. The organization shall be guided by the university’s OCCS.

On the other hand, the LGBT+ Advocacy Organization, in line with USG President Lance Dela Cruz’s speech regarding the SOGIE bill in a Senate hearing last month, focuses to have #EqualityNow by re-establishing an organization that will cater to the rights and representation of the LGBT+ community in DLSU.

For applications, you may submit them online from October 21 until October 28. For more inquiries, drop by their booth from October 22-24 & 28 at Bloemen Bench 2.
