PRESS RELEASE: #FACTPHnow social media summit lineup revealed

MANILA, Philippines – The Young Filipino Advocates of Critical Thinking (yFACTph) has announced the return of #FACTPHnow: Social Media Summit 2020 on March 13 to 14, 2020 at Far Eastern University, Manila.

Now on its third year in town, #FACTPHnow, in partnership with FEU Central Student Organization, FEU Anti-Bullying Core Group and Kapisanan ng mga Estudyante ng Agham Pampulitika, is the biggest gathering of responsible social media influencers, advocates and youth leaders around the Philippines. The objectives of the annual summit was to form the youth’s narrative online by promoting authenticity, critical thinking, and empathy, and to help form youth leaders in effectively promoting digital responsibility and citizenship.

This year’s stellar lineup features a mix of talented content creators: Richard Juan, Luis Azcona, Deegee Razon, Gerick Manalo, M.A. Buendia, Andrei King, Bont Bryan Oropel, Gigi Esguerra, Lloyd Aaron Agustin, Luis Gragera and Japheth Tobias.

Journalists such as Rambo Talabong from Rappler, Migs Bustos from ANC 24/7 and MJ Felipe from ABS-CBN will also be present at the event.

“Digital empowerment is a platform to take action about social issues and we’re delighted to bring these at #FACTPHnow. In a time of fake news and the widespread abuse of digital tools, we believe that we have a stronger responsibility to be vigilant, to constantly seek the truth, and to be a positive example for the youth,” said John Philip Bravo, National Chairperson of yFACTph.
