PRESS RELEASE: DLSU USG Judiciary to hold webinar on the importance of Judiciary in Philippine legal society

The DLSU USG Judiciary has unveiled Sine Qua Non: The Importance of the Judiciary in the Philippine Legal System’—a culminating forum that explores the importance of the role of the Judiciary in the Philippine legal and judicial system, the role of social justice in the Philippine society, including some tips and pieces of advice for aspiring lawyers and officers of the court. The event seeks to promote judicial awareness and social activity, as well as improved discourse and new perspectives on society in a legal lens. 

The webinar, to be held on June 4, 2022, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm (PhST/GMT+8), shall feature legal personalities from the three branches of the Philippine government, all with various degrees of experience in government service including Former Founding Dean of DLSU College of Law and Chairperson of Free Legal Assistance Group (FLAG) Atty. Jose Manuel “Chel” Diokno, Former Court Stenographer and Legal Researcher and Current Branch Clerk of Court Atty. Charmaine Alovera, and Member-Faculty of the DLSU College of Law and Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court Branch 264 (Pasig) Hon. Ma. Christina Lim
