HIGHLIGHTS: LA approves resignation of USG’s Limjoco, Paderes, BLAZE2021 officers

During the tenth Legislative Assembly special session held last Wednesday, October 5, four student leaders from BLAZE2021 and the University Student Government (USG) officially stepped down from their positions. 

USG executive secretary, vice president for internal affairs step down

Executive Secretary Jewel Limjoco stepped down from the USG ahead of her graduation in the 194th Commencement Exercises. Limjoco endorsed her former chief of staff and former FOCUS2019 batch president, Gabrielle Avante, to succeed her.

USG Vice President for Internal Affairs Britney Paderes also resigned, citing personal concerns. Paderes endorsed OVPIA Executive Director for Research and Development and former FOCUS2019 Batch Legislator Macky Vjuan as her replacement.

BLAZE2021 batch president, legislator resign

Meanwhile, BLAZE2021 Batch President Janella Gaoat and Batch Legislator Carlo Inumerable vacated their office as both are nearing the end of their college terms. No replacements were endorsed during the session.
