To honor a decade of masterful choral leadership, mentorship, and artistic excellence, the De La Salle University Chorale will stage a two-show commemorative event titled “Echoes of the Decade: Mga Awit ng Pasasalamat.”
The concert series will take place on July 17, 2026, at 6:00 PM and July 18, 2026, at 4:00 PM, at the Most Blessed Sacrament Chapel, with doors opening to the public an hour before each show.
Celebrating the 10th anniversary of Mr. Jose Emmanuel “Joel” Aquino as conductor of the DLSU Chorale, the event highlights his extensive musical experience and the deep community he has forged under his baton. The performances are uniquely structured into distinct acts, interwoven with personal interview video segments in which Mr. Aquino reflects on his journey, his sources of inspiration, and the predecessors who paved the way for him.
True to its theme of gratitude, Echoes of a Decade will bring together past and present voices. With the current roster of choristers, DLSU Chorale alumni and close friends will also take the stage to showcase the tangible legacy that has flourished under Mr. Aquino’s leadership. Together, they will be performing a diverse repertoire spanning sacred, folk, pop, classical, and contemporary choral pieces.
Audiences can expect an emotionally resonant and unforgettable musical tribute that celebrates not only a milestone anniversary, but a shared passion for choral arts that continues to strengthen the Lasallian community.
The De La Salle University Chorale welcomes the entire Lasallian community to join this milestone celebration of choral artistry. Tickets are priced at P350 (Piano), P550 (Mezzo), and P700 (Forte). For DLSU students who will be availing the Arts Pass, a P240 discount will be applied to any of the tiers mentioned.
