Sanctum Luna celebrates three years of community, culture and continuity this September 8-10, 2026 with Journey Back Home at University Mall, Taft. The three-floor event brings together independent artists, designers, makers, and community programming.
Origin of Sanctum Luna
Sanctum Luna, originally Sanctum Luna Market, was a pop-up event in 2019. Back then, five of us—friends who frequently joined artist markets—wanted to showcase our work in an art exhibit, but none of us knew how to organize one. We held our market and celebrated our friendship, talents and diversity.
The truth was, it was only supposed to happen once. We all moved on with our lives and I decided to bring us all back together. Some of us returned and some of us moved on to different paths.
What Journey Back Home Represents
Sanctum Luna has grown to a world of its own and a place our community calls its Home in Taft. Our Family reunites once more across three floors with distinct identities: The Heart, The Playground and our latest addition—the Gallery
The Heart returns to Sanctum Luna’s origins. Old friends and some new creators gather and celebrate togetherness in a traditional market format. Indie comics and zines, Filipino cultural origins, crafts, crochet, and more will fill the traditional market floor.
The Playground brings together a playful mesh of niche art, accessories, handmade sculpture, traditional art, and unusual concepts.
Two workshops are offered at Dapit Hapon Cafe: Collage + Decoupage by Marita de Leon of Handmade Lemonade on Wednesday, September 9 at 3-5pm and Crystal Bracelet + Ring Making by Carla Mae of Cristella Crafts on Thursday, September 10 at 5-7pm.
Meanwhile, The Gallery is our latest pilot with Tambay with Daemon. An informal community circle for conversations about art, community and culture. The goal is to create a cultural space beyond the market—a place to honor the ritual of connection and return.
