Two DLSU teams enter L’Oreal Brandstorm

Now on it’s fifth year in the Philippines, L’Oreal Brandstorm offers this year’s participants a unique and interesting challenge. With the focus on L’Oreal Paris, the company’s multi-billion flagship brand, students must propose an exciting and innovative hair care and styling product or product range that will appeal to the Southeast Asian market, while staying true to the brands image.

With over 60,000 players from 280 campuses in 48 different countries, Brandstorm is one of the biggest marketing competitions in the world. It gives students in their last two years of college an opportunity to experience what it’s like to be a brand manager for a L’Oreal brand. It is a competition for creative and entrepreneurial minds, which results in some of the most unique and innovative ideas.

Brandstorm boasts of many talented alumni, coming from the top universities of the country. In the past four years, De Lasalle University has taken home the national championship twice, with many of its past winners currently working for some of the company’s top brands.

This year, two teams from DLSU, Team Audacity (Kate Velasquez, Chesca Villas, Victor Sison) and Team Southern Smile (Bea Lagdameo, Charlyn Francisco, John Paul Hipolito) will fight for the chance to advance to the next stage. They will present their ideas alongside finalists from Ateneo de Manila University and the University of the Philippines to prove that they deserve to win the title of national champions.

The national finals will be held on the 21st of March, where a panel of esteemed judges will decide on who gets to represent the Philippines at the international finals in Paris, France.
