XPLORRA Talks, with the slogan “learn and share stories for better traveling,” is the on-ground event component of XPLORRA which is made possible by Philippines AirAsia, the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline. It is unique in its passion to create a venue for students to appreciate the joy of traveling around the Philippines. With the talks, it aspires to create a community of wanderlusts who will be in the frontline of knowing the latest, the unique, and the rare finds with XPLORRA’s prime advocacies: travel and tourism, culture and heritage, and travel photography. The upcoming XPLORRA Talks will travel in the land of the Green Archers this January 29, 2016 from 1:00pm to 4:30pm at the 4/F Multipurpose Hall, Henry Sy Sr. Hall, De La Salle University-Manila.
In partnership with the regional offices of the Department of Tourism and other private organizations, XPLORRA organizes and provides exclusive opportunities for students to participate and contribute to the development of the tourism industry of the Philippines. To give credence to this endeavor, the event is organized to provide a multitude of great prospects for DLSU students with what it represents and highlights:
Sharing and promotion of Philippine resources by inviting industry speakers to take the spotlight in informing and engaging the audience.
Awareness about XPLORRA’s model and participation as a local change-maker by introducing to the audience its vision and mission, progress, projects and partnerships and community engagement initiatives: Contributors Program, the Junior Ambassador Program, and the Internship Program.
Invitation to the audience to be part of the XPLORRA platform by simultaneously registering their information to XPLORRA.com once they pre-register to the event, subsequently gaining access to premium travel guides and allowing interaction with XPLORRA’s online community.
Create an enjoyable ambiance and hype throughout the event by providing raffles and other promotional giveaways and opportunity-creating resources courtesy of its sponsors.
XPLORRA Talks DLSU, in partnership with the DLSU Junior Marketers Entrepreneurs Association and DLSU Green Media Group, will bring the most accomplished speakers in the industry, featuring Gina Lopez (The Heart of the Lopez Conglomerate) for Travel and Tourism, Carlos Celdran (Tour Guide and Cultural Activist) for Culture and Heritage and Fung Yu (Journalism and Heritage Photographer) for Travel Photography.
