A Conference.
Every girl can be whoever and whatever she wants to be. This is the message of the Every Girl Can Conference, a one-day event celebration of female empowerment and gender equality, happening on March 18 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM, at the Silk Room at Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in McKinley Hill.
Every Girl Can, a women’s conference organized by She Talks Asia and Mano Amiga Pilipinas, will be packed with valuable dynamic discussions, idea exchanging, and networking opportunities.
Solo Speakers:
Attendees will be surrounded by likeminded females, and will be treated to the stories and secrets of success of powerhouse women like model and entrepreneur Teresa Herrera, Life Coach and motivational speaker Pia Acevedo, social entrepreneur and eco-warrior Krie Lopez, advertising CEO and chairmom Merlee Jayme, and marketing mogul Margot Torres.
Panel Discussions:
Seasoned professionals and advocates Ana Santos, Gang Badoy, and Minette Navarrette will weigh in on what it means to be a “Modern Filipina.” The panel will be moderated by host and model Bianca Gonzalez-Intal.
The question “Millennials: Empowered or Entitled?” will be discussed by our youth panel BP Valenzuela, Thea de Rivera, Monica Magsanoc, Nella Lomotan, and Samantha Lee. It will be moderated by actress and host Jasmine Curtis Smith.
A round table session will tackle “New Frontiers for Women” across a wide variety of professions, with perspectives from Nica Hechanova, Aryn Cristobal, Deng Garcia, and Michelle Barretto. This will be faciliated by lifestyle writer and educator Cat Juan-Ledesma.
The conference will be hosted by Sarah Meier-Heredia.
The Cause and Call to Action:
The event will raise scholarships funds for the students of Mano Amiga, a non-profit school that provides access to international quality education to underprivileged children. In the spirit of positive female support, attendees will also be given the opportunity to pledge volunteer hours for the mentorship program of Mano Amiga’s young girls.
