From the Office of the Vice President for External Affairs (OVPEA) comes Policy Check, a term-long legislative awareness project that aims to provide weekly recaps of proposed local and national legislation. The project also seeks to bridge Lasallians to key policymakers and enable the former to forward their opinions, comments, and recommendations on featured legislation.
Policy Check is a response to recent national events, especially where legislation is concerned. The organizing committee believes that students must be encouraged to participate in the country’s legislative process, and that this can successfully be done if the right avenue is provided.
Weekly legislation recaps will be posted on the DLSU USG Facebook page every Friday at 8 pm. The OVPEA has partnered with The LaSallian, Ang Pahayagang Plaridel, and the Office of Sen. Francis N. Pangilinan for the duration of the project.
