Due to the pandemic, the country and its people have faced several challenges from health concerns, economic problems, and even in their journey to keep up with the demands of life survival. COVID cases reached the hundred thousand mark with the economy still on the verge of recession. In return, many Filipinos have been negatively affected with frontliners risking their lives everyday and the poor people, even the middle class, getting poorer and poorer.
PINTIG2020 comes in here. Rebranded from the University Vision-Mission Week 2020 and under the supervision of the Vice President for Lasallian Mission, this event serves as a celebration for these Filipino heroes who have remained strong and risking their lives amid the pandemic. It aims to shed light to their hardships and in return give back to them.
With this and as part of PINTIG 2020, the Animo Thanksgiving is created to organize a donation drive that aims to give back to the staff of the University by providing them with essential items. Each Lasallian employee shall receive at least one gift basket of face masks, canned goods, sanitary napkins and bottled water. The beneficiaries specifically include the Security Office, the Maintenance and Electrical Works Office (MEWO), and the Building and Grounds Maintenance Office (BMGO) to honor their services in the university despite the pandemic.
Donations to Animo Thanksgiving is on-going until August 22. For monetary donations, you can send it through the DLSU’s BDO Account. For in-kind donations, the drop off will be at the La Salle Greenhills campus in Mandaluyong. Details about the donation drive are indicated in the pub below (insert attached pubmat in the drive).
