The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic has adversely affected the majority of the vulnerable sectors of our society, including the children with special needs, which has put a strain on their everyday lives. With that, many have initiated donation drives to reach out and help this sector in any way they can. Supporting and empowering Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) is one of the advocacies of the Center for Social and Action (COSCA), and its student volunteer arm, the Lasallian Outreach Volunteer Effort (COSCA-LOVE). And, for over 30 years, they have continuously supported the well-being of these children with special needs.
In line with this, to continue the support given to their chosen children, the organization has collaborated with Dreambook Project, a movement and community that aims to inspire hope, empower dreams and spread positivity. They organized a fundraising project entitled “Ningning: A Light for the Little Ones Shines the Brightest” wherein 1,000 Lasallian Dreambook Journals will be sold for the benefit of these children.
The Lasallian Dreambook Journals is a personalized journal that provides a creative opportunity for our community to reflect and practice the Lasallian way of life – from plotting one’s daily tasks to setting a personal vision and goal.
