With the current state of the pandemic in our country, being financially literate is more important than ever, especially with the adaptation of technology and its impact on our day to day lives. This continues to become an essential component of our lives thus the need for these topics becomes more evident. Not everyone, however, has the privilege to educate themselves regarding these concepts. Given how dynamic the financial trends are, it is vital for us to constantly be aware of changes and updates in trends in order for us to better adapt to the current times. As new generations arise, financial literacy must be promoted for the betterment of our future.
To rise up to this need, the Management of Financial Institutions Association (MaFIA), one of DLSU’s accredited professional student organizations, is hosting its annual flagship event, Global Finance Convention 2022, with the theme of Reinforcing Progressive Finance Towards a Stronger Recovery, which aims to inspire and lead the youth into financial literacy and freedom, as well as promote financial proficiency given the current trends. This event is open, free-of-charge, to all and will be held on February 5, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM via Private Facebook Livestream. This event will hold a series of webinars with invited esteemed speakers that will educate and equip the participants with the right mindset and strategies in tackling the current trends in personal finances as well as non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
