Taft, Manila – De La Salle University Manila’s premier Filipino-Chinese socio-civic organization, ENGLICOM, will be holding its flagship event titled: “NEXUS: Traversing Connections Towards a Dynamic Network.” This will be a two-week digital event comprising two webinars as well as a networking event. Special guests are also invited to make an appearance among which are distinguished speakers, industry-wide company leaders, partner firms, and ENGLICOM alumni. Through this, attendees will be able to network with individuals coming from diverse disciplines and backgrounds. Adding to that, NEXUS shall serve as a grand rendition of the alumni homecoming and networking event in a thriving digital space.

The first webinar will place an emphasis on success within entrepreneurial ventures through the use of different business models and techniques to thrive despite adversities. The second webinar will include the topic of how to start a business to be hosted by speakers who are experts in numerous fields and will discuss their personal experiences.

Webinar 1: Utilizing Effective Business Models Toward Entrepreneurial Success
To kick-off the event, Ms. Abigail Tan, a Managing Partner of ARQ Capital Partners and Director of Polestrom Consulting, will be sharing her experiences on harnessing the power of business models and techniques to create a positive impact on the success of a business despite these changing times. The event is open to all interested participants, both Lasallian and non-Lasallian students alike, and will be broadcasted live through an exclusive Facebook Group on May 21, 2022 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN.
Webinar 2: Exploring Different Ventures for the Future of Tomorrow
Our second speaker is Mr. Hubert Chua, a Managing Director of Tire Asia Group Inc., President of the Anvil Business Club (Association of Young Filipino Chinese Entrepreneurs), and Officer in FFCCCII. He will be sharing his expertise on different fields and how he used and incorporated his experiences to explore a business venture. This will also be broadcasted live through an exclusive Facebook group, and the event is open to all, both Lasallian and non-Lasallian students on May 28, 2022 at 10:00 AM to 12:00 NN.
About the Networking Event
NEXUS Networking Event
To end the 2-week-long event with a bang, NEXUS will be hosting a networking party where attendees can interact and create connections with industry professionals from diverse areas of expertise. The event invites everyone, most especially to undergraduates, business-minded people, and the ENGLICOM alumni network.
What makes this event truly special is that this is the first-ever online networking event in ENGLICOM. It will provide opportunities for De La Salle University’s undergraduates to make new connections, relationships, and create partnerships with ENGLICOM alumni and its present members. Lastly, the event will be held on May 28, 2022, from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM for interested participants to adjoin with others who have comparable customer bases.
