The eighth Legislative Assembly (LA) special session was held on campus at the University Student Government Session Hall on Wednesday, September 21, marking the first LA session to be held in-person since the COVID-19 pandemic started in 2020.
CCS college prexy steps down
Beatrice Berenguer, former Batch President of CATCH2T23, has stepped down from the position of college president of the Computer Studies Government (CSG), due to personal reasons.
Succeeding Berenguer for the position is former CSG Chief of Staff Chelsea Alabanza. Alabanza stated during the session that she plans to continue projects Berenguer had started, including the celebration of the 40th year of CCS, accepting internal and external partnerships for the college, and helping students transition from online to in-person classes.
FAST2018 batch legislator resigns
Jericho Quiro’s resignation from the position of batch legislator of FAST2018, over reasons including health matters, was also approved during the session. There is no replacement officer yet due to a lack of applicants.
