One of the first face-to-face events after so many years, DLSU Englicom proudly brings back Transcend face-to-face. Transcend is one of Englicom’s biggest university-wide flagship events, and this year, it focuses on the theme of Cutting Edge Amongst the Rest. Transcend: Cutting Edge Amongst the Rest will be a weeklong hybrid event with the goal of enhancing creativity, efficiency, and aspiration, and emphasizing the importance of these characteristics in gaining an edge in the business world through an insightful seminar and a business pitch competition.
The seminar entitled “The Blueprint to Discovering One’s Value Proposition” will showcase esteemed speakers, Mr. Steve Sy and Arch. Patrick Andrew, from different fields, who will feature their humble beginnings, success stories, experiences, and overall journeys in their respective industries. Furthermore, they will share different techniques in finding and gaining one’s edge and surpassing one’s limits to become who they are today.
Mr. Steve Sy is the CEO and Founder of Great Deals E-Commerce Corp., the Co-founder of Shoppertainment Live Inc., Zagana, and Strat Quad., an Alibaba Business School E Founder Fellow, an endeavor entrepreneur, a Mansmith innovation awardee, and one of the Top 100 Filipinos to follow on LinkedIn for inspiration and learning. Arch. Patrick Andrew on the other hand, is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner for T+A Design Studio, who graduated BS Architecture at University of Santo Tomas – College of Architecture, Manila and MSc Emergent Technologies and Design at Architectural Association School of Architecture, London.
Alongside the seminar, the business pitch competition will provide an avenue for students to enhance and maximize the characteristics vital in the business world as they would be able to share their own unique ideas that would provide them an edge in the professional world.
