The Lasallian Scholars Society (LSS) is set to host its annual flagship event, Scholars Week 2026, from March 9 to 21, 2026. Carrying the theme “#12eimagineBrilliance,” the two-week initiative aims to showcase the diverse talents of the scholar community and affirm De La Salle University (DLSU) as a premier institution for scholars in the country.

Established in 2013, LSS serves as the sole autonomous representative body for all undergraduate scholars at DLSU, representing over 20% of the student population. This year’s iteration focuses on scholar welfare, specifically addressing academic growth, mental and emotional well-being, and financial sustainability.
The 2026 calendar features a blend of intellectual competitions and community-building activities designed to cultivate camaraderie among the over 5,000 scholars on campus:
- Taftest Challenge: A face-to-face academic competition testing mastery across science, history, and contemporary culture.
- RippLSS: A three-hour interdisciplinary forum where scholars engage in critical discussions regarding governance, corruption, and development issues, culminating in policy notes and reflection briefs.
- Scholars’ Night: A premier social gathering and gala intended to celebrate the legacy of Lasallian scholars through performances and formal recognition.
- PaLSSiklaban: A sports-centered event blending traditional Larong Pinoy—such as patintero and piko—with volleyball and basketball classics.
- SCHO-pedition: A team-building competition inspired by popular televised game shows
Beyond academics, the week includes interactive digital and campus-based initiatives. LSS on your Mind – Rent-Free will feature a vlog format of scholars answering riddles and brain teasers to highlight the community’s wit and personality. Another initiative, Through the LenSS, involves scholar officers creating short videos to promote the values and spirit of the society.
The LSS leadership emphasized that Scholars Week serves as a platform for scholars to “thrive and learn more professionally and knowledgeably from each other”. Through these events, the society continues its mission of grounding scholars in the core Lasallian values of faith, service, and communion. For more information and updates:
