Over the last few decades, unabated carbon emissions have fueled climate change, with the Philippines contributing 150.6 million tons of carbon dioxide in 2019. By creating technology-advanced and fuel-efficient cars, young individuals from De La Salle University are applying their knowledge of Engineering and Computer Technology to create solutions that reduce carbon emissions. The DLSU […]
Drug design is an involved, expensive, and time-consuming process that forms the basis of modern Medicine. However, pharmaceutical scientists are now able to leverage technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) to expedite both drug design and the delivery of drugs to the market for purchase. Capping ANN predictions Within the broad umbrella of AI lies deep […]
The ubiquity of microplastics in our environment presents a growing concern. Such is the breadth of the issue that microplastics have now reached Mount Everest, one of the most remote places on Earth. These miniscule particles can now be found even inside the stomachs of animals and consequently, humans. Though tiny plastic particles are one […]

In humanity’s efforts for survival, our ancestors have identified natural resources available for human consumption. However, the finite quality of these resources has pushed scientists to explore sustainable substitutes, one example being laboratory-grown meat. Scientific developments have made it possible to innovate processes by which animals could be spared from consumption. Tissue engineering closes the […]
