A complete shutout

The Green Batters racked up points without delay in the early innings while keeping UST from scoring their own. The game ended via the mercy rule with the score of 13-0, in favor of DLSU.

The Green Batters immediately took charge of the game as batters Paulo Salud, Carlos Laurel, Gabriel Pineda, and Carlos Muñoz scored one run after another in the first inning. Their onslaught of runs continued to the second inning as they brought home three more batters. The Tigers tried to rally back but were prevented from scoring by the Green Batters.

When the bases were fully loaded in the fourth inning, veteran Dino Imperial slugged the ball to the right field to give way for the batters to score, 3-0. Imperial, however, was tagged out at the third base. A number of substitutions were thrown in for the Growling Tigers but to no avail, they were unable to stop DLSU from scoring another three more runs in the fifth inning.

Both squads did not score in the remaining innings, ending the match with the score of 13-0.
