The DLSU Lady Tennisters finished their UAAP Season 77 campaign as the second runner-up after losing in their playoff match-up against the UST Tigresses. The deciding matches between these two squads ended with a score of 3-2, in favor of the Tigresses.

UST’s Macy Gonzales took the first singles game from the Lady Tennisters in a nearly one-sided match, 6-1, 6-0. Rachelle De Guzman, however, defeated the Lenelyn Milo to make up for DLSU’s first loss, 6-4, 6-0. The last singles match was won by Lady Tennister Marinel Rudas, 6-3, 6-1.
It was during the doubles matches that La Salle continued to deteriorate, losing both matches to UST. DLSU’s Jenni Dizon and Janina Luis started the doubles matches, but was defeated by UST’s Shymae Gitalan and Genevieve Coarte, winning only one set, 6-0, 6-1.
Lastly, the duo of Lynette Palasan and Princess Castillo tried to make a late run, but it was not enough as UST’s April Santos and Danica Bautista dispatched them in the end, winning with a score of 4-6, 2-6.
UST will advance to the finals, facing the current champion NU Lady Bulldogs.
