The La Salle Debate Society (LSDS) is one of the leading debate societies in the Philippines and Asia, consistently showing success in debate tournaments both nationally and internationally. With the vision of Making the Game Beautiful and Winning With Honor, LSDS carries out its mission of spreading Lasallian debating by honing the skills of debaters—both those inside and out DLSU. As part of its mission, LSDS will hold its 11th annual National Asians High School Debate Championship (NAsHDC) on September 10-11 and 17-18 on the Discord and Zoom Platforms.
NAsHDC is an Asian Parliamentary debate tournament catered to High School students all over the country. It has and continues to provide hundreds of High School debaters opportunities to grow their critical thinking and public speaking skills. Debate topics span from ethics, politics, social justice, and everything else under the sun. The debates between the affirmative and opposition sides would be evaluated, judged, and given feedback by experienced adjudicators. The tournament projects the participation of over 200 High School students from Junior and Senior High.
LSDS is committed to develop the skills and talents of novice to seasoned debaters in the intellectual sport that they all love.
