A dark past filled with mysteries, lies and murders of the supernatural, a new kind of teenage rebellion, and a budding teen romance that could change the very fate of the stars are all in the new television series: The Secret Circle.
The Secret Circle is based on a book series of the same name, penned by L.J. Smith. The Secret Circle tells the witchy tale of Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) who recently found out that she descended from a long line of witches dating back to thousands of years ago. After the death of her mother from a house fire, she moves into the house of her grandmother, in a small town called Chance Harbour.
The plot of the series is enthralling and contributes to the curiosity of the viewers, but there are some lagging parts from the stretched out suspense scenes that make it dragging. The characters, however, are amazingly well balanced and well thought out, like Faye Chamberlain (Phoebe Tonkin) who is the rebellious, power hungry member of the group who has a hidden vulnerability, and Diana Meade (Shelley Hennig), the leader of the coven with a few secret insecurities of her own.
The series is captivating and it lures viewers in from the first few minutes. Every moment counts as the new circle tries to figure out, which witch is which, but be wary as something will come and it is coming in full circle.
