The NU Bulldogs, DLSU Green Archers and the FEU Tamaraws sport identical records at the top of the league, but NU takes the top seed due to a superior quotient. This paves the way for a battle between La Salle and FEU to determine the ownership of the second seed and a twice-to-beat advantage on September 21, Saturday. Following this, the Green Archers and the Tamaraws will engage in a traditional semifinal matchup, which makes their affair a virtual best-of-three for the right to enter the finals. Meanwhile, NU and the UST Growling Tigers begin their duel on September 22, Sunday, with the former holding a twice-to-beat edge. As the pressure begins to mount, the true battle begins now for the right to be crowned the new UAAP champion.
