A photograph does not just reflect superficial appearance; it says something. It enlightens and does not confuse. A Photo staffer has a keen eye for taking photographs that tell moments of Lasallian history unfolding. Photo staffers enable our writers to speak more visually by allowing our readers to experience the story through evocative images thus, recounting a story more effectively and holistically.
The LaSallian photographers are there where and when it all happens. Each TLS photographer is expected to do the following:
- Submit photos for the print issue
- Cover events in and out of campus
- Edit their own photos for submission
- Write captions for events
- Interact with people inside and outside of the organization
To join, applicants must be:
- Familiar with camera settings
- Equipped with a keen eye, confidence, dedication, and time
- Able to conceptualize photos in the most creative way possible
- Take quality photos
- Familiar with basic post-processing techniques in Lightroom and Photoshop
- Willing to write captions
- Open to learn more and grow more
