The Web section brings the tradition of journalism to the 21st century. Web staffers are in charge of managing The LaSallian‘s website and social media platforms and are at the forefront of delivering news to our readers however they want it.
Contrary to popular belief, coding skills are not a hard requirement to be a member of The LaSallian’s Web Staff. A web staffer must, however, have the following:
- Management skills
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
- An enthusiasm to push the boundaries of our online platforms
Despite being The LaSallian‘s smallest section thus far, the Web Section is responsible for all of these:
- Managing the TLS social media accounts
- Planning online content
- Tracking and analyzing social media and web performance, and preparing monthly reports on it
- Initiating and producing social media and web specials
- Managing the TLS website, including its accounts, posts, and security
- Continuously improving the website
